    I'm proud to announce a big Chinese New Year Celebration, we organize in cooperation with the China Lounge in Frankfurt am Main / Germany!

    Date: 16. February 2008

    Location Shangrila Restaurant / Frankfurt am Main

    Program:

    18:30   champagne reception

    19:15   lion dance

    19:30   several speeches and short presentation about the chinese new year

    20:00   authentic chinese buffet and mongolian grill

    21:15   cultural program
                  - dances:    chili girls
                                       happy tambourine
                  - erhu (chinese violine):
                                       a beautiful night
                                       horse race

    21:45:   open end with the opportunity for karaoke

    dress code: festive and in traditional clothes if possible

    entrance fee:     22 € in advance / 25€
                                entrance only with registration in advance!
       
                                 Places limited to 150 guests!

    Hey it sounds cool to me :) I'm a enthusiast amateur photographer and I'd like to take some nice photos of the chinese new year celebrations here in frankfurt. Can you recommend me some event for 2009?

    I'd love to attend an event like this, especially to see the Lion Dance. Cass's Si fu Bryant Fong joined AnD recently & has been writing some very interesting entries, including one on the background of the Lion Dance, including photos of restored Lion Heads. Hope you really enjoy the evening! :)
