  • Two sides of a story...Think before you type!

I'm not sure whether it is a burden or a favour to know two sides of a story...this time it feels more like a burden because I got personally involved in the aftermath of an unhappy ending of a love story here on AnD. Personally involved means that I fell in love with one of the parties, though my feelings will remain unanswered and I can live with that.

The things happened throughout the last month leave me with a feeling like caught and spit out of a rollercoaster or drawn through a tumbler...though you may say, does this all make sense? Yes it did for me, though it was painfull. I learned to express my feelings more openly not only here but also to my friends in real life and it feels good, though I think I got more vulnerable because of this. But I think I'm strong enough for this and I hope it will enrich my life.

I also feel like torn between two friends who I like very much and both of them opened their heart to me. They both have their own sight of the whole story so it was kind of hard for me to put the puzzle together. Though some pieces still miss, I see a lot clearer know and as ever, the truth has to be found somewhere in the middle. I hope I don't have to make a choice between them, it is hard enough to agree to disagree. My conclusion is that many people do wrong to one party of the whole story (and this is not influenced by my personal feelings). You don't have to agree with this but this is my sight of it and I hope you will accept it. If not then I cannot help you. (The ones who are involved, know what I'm talking about)

Every person is just a person and has it's good and bad, it's light and dark sides. Nobody is perfect.

I just hope everyone has learned it's lesson out of this and will start to look forward. For those who believe in the lunar calendar, the new moon is a good moment to do so.

Nevertheless I wish everyone a happy Chinese New Year - may the year of the rat be a lucky one in every aspect of your lives and may your wishes come true!!

Hmm, just one thing I have to add before I go back to work: Next time, think before you act and for the internet and here on AND I got to say: Think before you type!

Silky, thank you for sharing your thoughts on this sad occurrence. I also hope this does not occur again, not only in the shout box, but also in the real lives of all people.

Silke, meine buddistische Einstellung gibt Dir vollkommen recht. Man soll nicht urteilen wenn zwei sich streiten. Sonst haben unsere Freund hier schon das Wichtigste erwähnt.
So, und jetzt bist Du endlich das Gewicht los...

Let us ponder over Romans 13:8-10

"8Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellow-man has fulflled the law.

9The commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbour as yourself."

10Love does no harm to its *neighbour.  Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law."

As we usher in the New Year, let bygone be bygone and may this earth be filled with the love for one another.  Let there be PEACE and JOY on earth with HOPE sustaining us.

    Silke,

It is usually the kind hearted that gets hurt most.  I suppose people don't change unless they see the need so meanwhile just hang in there and be happy.

    *neighbour includes everyone

Thanks Flag, you're right! I did this before as well. Maybe I should do it more! With my statement I was referring to shoutbox which has it's own dynamics as it seems...

Think before you SUBMIT, think before you SEND.  Otherwise, don't think, just type.  I have SO MANY saved "drafts" of e-mails which I never "sent" because I just had to get it out of my system.  I needed to purge my thoughts, but no one needed to hear them.  As for yourself, it's good to express your desires.  So what if they're not reciprocated.  Remember, I've said this before, that just frees you to move on.

Dang. Am I thinking right about what you wrote. OMG. Holy shit
Anyways, I replied to your comment already. I really do want to close this chapter already. Once again, I would just like to say. Let those involved settle it themselves. It is not up to me to decide or comment anymore.

You are strong Silke, and you've written this from the heart. It's true that to every story there is two sides and it's hard for those caught in the middle, unlike the films, there is no completely good character or completely evil character, in the real world we all have different dimensions to our character some positive, and some bad, like you said, nobody can be perfect.

I hope everything works out for you and your friends.

    Happy Chinese New Year Silke
    All The best to you.
