Think I want to go to Asia first .. particularly Japan, since I already know people who live there .. and NOT all of them live in Tokyo! :)

Allow me to crack my knuckles and take a shot at this question.  I've been to 25 countries, alas, Germany is not one of them.  However, it is definitely a personal thing for each person.  I prefer the slow lane.  Even when visiting cities in China, like Beijing or Shanghai, I would rather wander down side streets than seek out major attractions.  I tend to avoid crowds.  That said, western China is much calmer than the east.  Places like Yunnan and Guizhou are experiencing change, but at a slower pace and, outside of the major cities, even slower still.  The only place I've visited that took me awhile to adjust to was life in Laos.  When I got there, for a few days I thought things were too slow.  Then I got use to it.  But I'm small town at heart.

I never was in China, but I think better place to live is Germany, many people from my country move there because there is higher live level and it's close to the Poland so they don't lose contact with family.
For people from Asia Germany can be interesting place for live because it is in Europe, where is many high developed countries - the most important is that these countries are already developed. China starting developing, very fast but it will stop in future, but we don't know when, after 10, 30 years?
Also Poland developing fast after enter to the Europe Union, but specialists say that this fast developing soon will slow down. For example Poland is 30 years backwards to the Ireland, hehe

move to Finland, thing's chance here way to fast ;) for me :D :D

Well, if China is like a 45 yr old man and Germany is like an 18 yr old "young man," then the USA is like a precocious toddler!  haha!

I'm sure there are parts of China that are slower and more laid back...the whole country can't be in the fast lane...especially in less populated, more rural areas.  Now, get out there and see the world!  =)

Yeah I'm amazed at how fast paced and on the go they are. Being raised in the north of England, it is very laid back, and I'm not sure I would want to change it forever, but I would like to spend time in the fast lane more.
