On this thursday evening I decided to join our company's end of the month drink in a pleasant location in the city of Frankfurt. It was a really nice group, we ate very delicious Tappas and had a few drinks .

Because the train drivers were on strike again a colleague took me to work that morning and I payed it back by giving him the opportunity to enjoy some Mai Tai and drive him back later on. So I only had two alcohol free Shirley Temple, of which the first one was ok but the second one just too sweet.

Though I didn't drive a car for quite a long time, I could handle his car pretty good after a short while . This practice was really good for me because I didn't drive a car for a pretty long time because I don't have one and usually go by train, bike or feet. Afterwards I tried to remember how much time passed since my last driving practice and I came to the conclusion that it was almost two years ago that I drove a carlast time. Good I didn't tell him before .

I think the rules are ok, because there use to happen soo many  accidents caused by drunk drivers...

No wonder everybody walks in Germany.  They serve those huge steins of beer and then yank you out of the car to give  you a blood test.  hahaha  When I visit Silky I won't be bringing my driver's license.  I'll be doing this...Zicke, zacke, zicke, zacke, hoi, hoi, hoi!

yep, it just went naturally :)
    Oh yes smart cars ;)
The driving drunk laws are pretty strict. The first fee you have to expect at 0,5 promille...with a higher promille level (I can't remember how high)  your driving licence gets withdrawn for some time...

I was just asking about the smart cars as a travel alternative for you but I guess there's no advantage to your having a personal car.

What a responsible colleague!  Safety aside, how are the drunk driving laws in Germany?

    I wasn't a small car, it was a VW Sharan ;)
And I told him that I didn't drive for several month -   this wasn't really withhelding information, or was it? If I would have said no, he surely wouldn't have drunk a single drop of alcohol.

You sneaky little thing.  But you withheld information for a good cause:  you didn't want to drive home with an enebriated person at the wheel.  How are those little smart cars?
