Giving thanks....

Although we don't have that holiday, there are still lots of things I'm thankful for.

I'm thankful for my family and friends, both new and old.... online and in real life.
I'm thankful for the opportunities I've been given.
I'm thankful for the way things work themselves out.... even when it looks dim.
I'm thankful for the things I've learned.
I'm thankful for the strength to persevere in difficult times.
I'm thankful for the comforts of a home and for remembering to appreciate the little things that I might have taken for granted.

To all those celebrating Thanksgiving:

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!

Ahoy Mateys!!

Apparently, today is "International Talk Like a Pirate" day. I'll be honest, my knowledge of pirate speak, customs etc. are limited to what I see when I watch Pirates of the Caribbean. However, after browsing the site a bit.... it does teach you how to talk like a pirate. There are even pirate pick up lines... some of them quite suggestive I think. LoL! Well, I guess you'd have to be a pirate to appreciate them. Oh yeah, there's even a clip of pirate talk in Mandarin. Quite entertaining, Arrrr!
