    When my boy-child was 4 months, we visited a zoo and I carried him in a front carrier much the way this monkey is--only I walked upright and there was less fur involved ;) All the way through the zoo, primates (small monkey's all the way to gorillas and chimps) kept stopped what they were doing and coming as close as their cage/enclosure/habitat would allow so they could see the him. When I realized what they were doing, I started turning so they could get a good look. Apparently a baby attached to your front is universal "monkey speak" for "new baby to see" and they all took interest.
