Scenes From our Night

Usually the weather on Halloween night in Rhode Island is hit or miss, and more often than not it just happens to rain. Luckily last night was pretty mild, and just a short sprinkle here and there. Perfect weather for Ben's first chance to run around in his costume. The kid had an absolute blast - he loved seeing all of the trick-or-treaters and stayed up way past his bedtime (usually he is in bed by 7:00). Uncle Derek wore his favorite costume of all.
Cameran was an absolute angel. Babies just love being outside. Something about the fresh air puts them right to sleep. And I gotta say, I've never seen a cuter bunny.
After Ben went to bed we all hung out with some drinks, handed out candy and had some laughs. It was pretty chill and laid back, and those are my favorite kind of nights. xo

Wishing everyone a SAFE and fun-filled Halloween. I've always loved this holiday. It's nice to see people getting all dressed up in the spirit of things, and they're doing it because it's FUN. Cameran has 2 costumes this year, a skeleton and a bunny. Ben is dressing as his favorite animal, a cow. I will post pictures tomorrow from our night.P.S. - Bathroom mirror selfies are totally OK when they are with a handsome cow. xo

Welcome to my World

For awhile now I've been toying with the idea of starting a blog. I am a very sentimental person and my mind is always going. I also have a story to tell that I hope is inspiring to others. My daughter, Cameran, was born affected by Amniotic Band Syndrome, missing her right forearm and hand. I hope this blog will offer other new families affected by ABS some insight and to see that life really does go on just fine. Thanks for following. xo

Another Christmas Come and Gone

I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate)! The past few weeks have been crazy busy and I needed some downtime with my loved ones! I wanted to truly enjoy this Christmas because it is Ben's very first. I tried to savour every moment. It is such a joy to have a little one to share the warm and tingly Christmasy feeling with. I am looking forward to each year as I'm sure it will just get better and more fun!To all my friends I could not send a Christmas card to here is what ours looked like this year! As always I was a total slacker sending them out. Im surprised they got out before the 25th.
