INCREASING GALE OR STORM SIGNAL NO. 9 

Tropical Cyclone Bulletin

Here is the latest Tropical Cyclone Bulletin issued by the
Hong Kong Observatory.

The Increasing Gale or Storm Signal, No. 9, was issued at
1:40 p.m.

This means that winds are expected to increase
significantly as Nuri moves closer to Hong Kong.

At 2 p.m., Typhoon Nuri was centred about 40 kilometres
east-southeast of Hong Kong Observatory (near 22.1 degrees
north 114.5 degrees east) and is forecast to move northwest
at about 14 kilometres per hour towards Hong Kong.

Nuri is expected to cross Hong Kong in the next few hours.
Gales are affecting many parts of the territory.  Winds
will increase further.

In the past hour, the maximum sustained winds recorded at
Waglan Island, Tai Mei Tuk and Chek Lap Kok were 94, 78 and
76 kilometres per hour respectively.

預 料 當 鸚 鵡 接 近 香 港 時 ， 本 港 風 力 顯 著 增 強 。

在 下 午 2 時 ， 颱 風 鸚 鵡 集 結 在 香 港 天 文 台 之 東 南 偏
東 約 40 公 里 ， 即 在 北 緯 22.1 度 ， 東 經 114.5 度 附
近 ， 預 料 向 西 北 移 動 ， 時 速 約 14 公 里 ， 趨 向 本 港 。

預 料 鸚 鵡 將 於 未 來 數 小 時 橫 過 本 港 。
現 時 本 港 多 處 吹 烈 風 ，  風 勢 會 進 一 步 增 強 。

在 過 去 一 小 時 ， 橫 瀾 島 、 大 尾 篤 及 赤  角 分 別 錄 得
的 最 高 持 續 風 速 為 每 小 時 94 、 78 及 76 公 里 。
