Born in China, Photojournalist and artist Water Poon has exhibited in China, Canada and the United States of America. In l988 he won Hong Kong Artist of the Year and in 2005 in Shanghai, China, he won the Martell Artist of the Year award.

1985/獲香港十大傑出青年獎
1988/獲香港藝術聯盟第一届攝影家獎
1994/編導電影「偶遇」
2000/編導、製作「中國民間」紀錄片及影集
2005/獲中國上海馬爹利藝術家年獎
2006/拍攝聯合國文化遺產（中國部份地區）
曾於香港「快報」、「星島日報」、「香港經濟日報」、加拿大「星島日報」撰寫專欄
台灣「遠見」雜誌撰稿及攝影
香港「都市日報」都市相集專欄
