Based in Chicago, Weiko Lin holds a B.A. in English and a M.F.A. in Film and TV from UCLA, where he was a Samuel Goldwyn Writing Award winner.
He started his career in the theater writing and directing plays and musicals produced at UCLA's Royce Hall, Veterans Wadsworth Theatre, and the former Century City Playhouse. His last play The Best Man world premiered at East West Players’ David Henry Hwang Theater. In February 2011, his newest play 100 DAYS premieres in Los Angels at The Loft Ensemble (www.loftensemble.com).
In film, Weiko has written projects for The Mark Gordon Company (2012, Saving Private Ryan), Good Worldwide (The Messenger), and Madhouse Entertainment (The Bounty Hunter). Currently, he is developing a remake of a crime thriller with Atlas Entertainment (The Dark Knight).
A Fulbright Senior Specialist, Weiko has taught screenwriting at Taipei National University of the Arts and at University of California. A member of Dramatist Guild of America and Writers Guild of America, West, he is currently a faculty member in RTVF/MFA Writing for the Screen and Stage program at Northwestern University.
