  I WAS THERE AT THE BIRD'S NEST!!
  
  
  
  Well.. two years ago.. on a trip with Flora :D One of the teachers drove us there! It wasn't finished yet at the time :P.
  
  Stunning performances at the stadium last night, although slow at some points and got a bit boring at times, but overall it was huge! I like the olympic rings shining like a bunch of diamonds in the air.
  
  
  Ok fine, I like 'em coz I like diamonds.. hey.. diamonds are a girl's best friend, remember?
  
  Everybody was rushing home to catch the opening ceremony show on TV and the bus from my company was full!! I went to Tseung Kwan O to watch it with my cousins (no one's at home, u see).
  
  Anyway..
  
  I haven't done any updating for a long time. So let's go back in time.
  
  I was super busy getting myself ready to go back to Jakarta..
  
  I had to think of ideas of what to get my dad for his 60th birthday! After a long brainstorming session (about 2 weeks in my head, and 1 week nagging my friends and colleagues what they think of the ideas), I finally bought an Osim Upapa. My mom had planned to buy it the last time I went back, and my dad's been having back pains now and then, so as Anni put it, it would be a nice gift~
  
  Then, I had to buy this and that and this and that for everybody else.. mainly Anni... hehehe.. (And I'm taking my revenge now as I tell her to help me get this and that and this and other things I forgot to buy / left behind, for my Grandma to bring back)
  
  The trip to Jakarta? Even busier! I had two days on my own before my other cousins arrived, and since they had never been to  Jakarta before, we took them all over the place. On the first two days on my own, I went out with Anni's friends, watch jazz performance (see left), doraemon (refer here for Anni's vid), etc... 
  
  Then, after the others arrived, we went to Puncak, Lembang (past Bandung), Ci-something (we went to a swim in the water spring there), Safari zoo (cool pics of lions and tigers coming up in the next entry), Ancol (saw the dolphins, white beluga whales, sealions, etc) and the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (basically a concentrated version of Indonesia in a park). I don't think I spent enough time at home, literally. I wake up at 8 everyday, go out, and come back home for meals only. I almost didn't even get to meet Rosaline, Diana and Iva! But luckily we did meet on the last night, to do some karaoke and chatting at A&W.

  Oh, my dad's birthday? It was at batavia hotel, we booked a small room with 4 tables, and it's got a TV and DVD players.. which means.. more karaoke!! I karaoke'd 3 times in a week there.
  
  Surprisingly, I managed to see a dentist and got my full denture x-ray just before all that busy-ness happened. The dentist says my tooth can be saved! Seems like I need to find a good endodontist and tooth crown specialist here in HK though. As a matter of fact, I went to a dentist in North Point today to see what other dentists would say, yeah it's saveable, but I'm going to go see just another 2 dentists, one in Guangzhou (going with my colleagues) and another in Kowloon City (Emily's dentist) to shop around. Weird huh.. shopping around at the dentists'.
  
  My grandma is coming back tomorrow, and I'm going to pick her up at the airport. Sorry to Ray, Jimmy, and Pete, whom I promised to go see a drama performance (Paul wrote one of the plays) with.
