Just a bit of an update here.. been quite a while (yes?) since my last entry..
So.. we had the annual Chun Ming dinner with the company in Causeway bay last night.. its to celebrate the Chinese new year, I suppose.. but it's been quite a wihle since anybody said "Gong hei fat choy" now, even though our Japanese-American producer Ken came by to say, with his American accented Cantonese: "Gong hei fat choy!" on which we replied "Lai see dao loi!!" (bring out the red-pockets), on which he then replied "Shing dan fai lok!!" (Merry Xmas).. hahahahaa..
Sadly there were no ipods in sight for lucky draws.. there are only prizes to win from games, and the players are drawn by random. Eh.. with my luck, I'm sure that I'll be pretty safe from getting flour blown onto my face to get $500. Not that I'll mind. (There was a game of food picking without using hands. The food is hidden in a tray full of flour, and you play against another player face-to-face, so you can blow your flour onto him/her while looking for food)
We've finished our first Gatchaman sequence, and right now it's being hold off. I think they're making some improvement to the character designs. I'm hoping for the best :D
Meanwhile, we're doing testing on Astro-Boy. I got the "Run-Jump" test, while others got "Walk-Run", "Run-Fly-Land", and one other.. i can't remember.. i think it's the "Walk". Basically we just take the rigged model and play around with it. With the "Run-Jump" I have to make A-boy.. well.. run and then jump. I think we're having quite fun playing with A-boy, because he's just so cute!! A colleague is animating him running, stop-to-run-in-place, and taking off and flying. She'll be doing him landing soon :)
Hmm.. what else.. I finished helping Ballkei edit his project. I don't know if it's disqualified though.. hope not.
And, "This Darling Life", the project I've been helping Angie with, has been picked up by Golden Scene, and is getting it's first market premiere at the Filmart on 18 March 2007. After that, UA Cinemas will sponsor its public premiere screening. It's finally taking off. Woohoo!
PS. I'm sick >_<
