My Dear friends, how are you guys doing?
I have been tied up at work in the past year, so I didn't have time to meet you guys. I'm really sorry about that.
As Christmas approaches, I would like to take this opportunity to express my thoughts and wishes to you guys by making a little greeting card.
This picture is a draft of my previous mural work for a kindergarten. I like it a lot, and I hope you guys like it too.

Mural - Spider Chrysanthemum

Follow with the previous mural works of Phalaenopsis for the nursing home, this time I took a new challenge to paint a new mural on another floor of the home during Easter.
The theme of this mural is Spider Chrysanthemum. In spite of having the experience of painting Phalaenopsis before, I found that the painting method and technique between Phalaenopsis and Spider Chrysanthemum are quite different. Compares with Phalaenopsis, the shape of Spider Chrysanthemum is more complicated, after all, they belong to different genuses.
When I first designed the draft, I wanted to use the western oil painting technique to make a traditional Chinese painting effect . (I think that's the most funniest part of the painting process) Due to the numerous procedures for creating the effect of Chinese painting on the wall by using Acrylic paints , it's not that easy to handle. Furthermore, monotonously drawing the petals and leaves day after day, it really took a lot of energy, especially for someone like me who constantly lacks sleep. But, when I found that the mural formed stage by stage, It really brought me content and joy.^^

Mural -- Phalaenopsis
just before, i finished the mural which theme is the phalaenopsis for a senior centre. This is the last mural done in 2009. =]This is my first time to paint phalaenopsis. actually i just hv little knowledge abt it. so i had to do much research b4 drafting the work. finding information from books and internet. and buying both real and fake phalaenopsis for reference! :Di wanted to hv an abstract phalaenopsis originally so as to fit the 3 walls with different angles. but i gave up this idea because the mural is for elderly. it maybe better to have a mural with comfort and relieve. Hope that they would like my work =]i had made a significant decision last year. everyone gave me different comments and they dun hv a same point of view on that. duno what will happen in the future though, it is sure that i would do the best!wish all AND frds happy 2010 !!! =))))))))))))))))))
