  • Power Outage!!

        Not only was today the coldest day on earth but there was a power outage last night at 10pm...I was mopping the floor and all of a sudden the lights were out!! It crossed my mind that I had maybe caused this to happen cuz I had the television and computer on at the same time! Phew! It wasn't me though

      There was a water leak in one of the major power plants downtown....so thousands of people were without electricity~meaning NO HEAT!!! Freeezing last night and this morning!!! Then of course I forgot that meant no subway transit either!!! I had to wait on the street and watch 5 buses pass me because they were too full to let people on!! HORRIBLE morning I tell ya!

     So this is a cool picture of the black-out area (courtesy of Global news)  My house in in there somewhere...

     I hope I can go home to a warm house tonight I HOPE I HOPE!!!

    we had a black out here 5 years ago.. on a hot summer day....... it was like living in the old days w/o AC.. heheee

    I hate blackouts!  Hope you got back power and a warm house now.  =)

    Oh lord blackouts are never nice, but they must be ten times worse in the freezing cold. I hope it was all sorted quickly.

    Terrible to be freezing your buns off at home. Hope it's repaired before bedtime tonight.

    It's 70s today.

    Yikes what a bad time for this to happen.  Hope it all gets sorted out soon and you get your heat and power back.  It's currently freezing in NYC too.
