  Calling all emerging filmmakers, this is your last chance to win USD16,000 and a free trip to Singapore this June !

  The Asian Short Film Awards Submission will close on 30 April. Here’s what our Jury have to say to you about the art of storytelling through short film. Three-time Academy Award winner Oliver Stone will head the jury and pick the most outstanding short film. Devesh Chetty: “The Asian Short Film Awards opens doors for filmmakers in many ways. Apart from giving their film an international audience, the winning filmmaker has the option of using the cash prize to develop the short film into a feature film, or use it to further their dreams in filmmaking.”   Maggie Lee: “Asian filmmakers are gaining recognition all over the world. Many of them, notably Cannes Palme D’or  winner Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Hong  Kong wunderkind Pang Ho Cheung  and Singapore’s own Royston Tan  honed their craft making short films. It is crucial that Screen Singapore is offering promising young talent an arena to express themselves as well as a springboard to gain widespread exposure.”   Eric Khoo: “ I’m all for making short films…if I didn’t start there I doubt I’d be directing features today.” Hurry and send in your entries today !
