International Film Star Jackie Chan and basketball star Yao Ming have both lent their names to a number of charity and public service campaigns over the years, and are both now appearing in a public service announcement for AIDS education in Mainland China along with other well-known stars including actor Pu Cunxin. Backed by the UN's Development Fund and Chinese Ministry of Health, the artists will use their public recognition factor to educate Chinese Youth about the importance of safe sex to prevent AIDS.
The PSAs are produced by Ruby Yang and Thomas Lennon, who won an Oscar award for their documentary film about AIDS Orphans in China.
