Hey Guys,

Hope everyone has a merry x-mas and here is a lil something for you guys to do at home to warm you up on those cold nights.

"Hot Apple Cider with a Bordeaux rinse"

for 5-6 servings

Ingredients:

2 pinch of cloves
6 cinnamon sticks
2 oranges
2 cups of Bordeaux wine
4 table spoons of white sugar
2 bottles of Magners Cider or any cider that is available (750ml)

Method:

slice oranges into thick slices roughly 1cm thick, puncture skin with cloves roughly 5 per slice. In a pot layer oranges with cinnamon stick then cover with sugar. add wine and bring to boil then add cider. Reduce the mix for 10 minutes. in a cup rim with cinnamon sugar and zest with orange zest, add 30mls of vodka and top up with Hot apple cider mix. Garnish with cinnamon stick. this drink is very aromatic Enjoy 1- 2 cups should keep you warm throughout the night

warm throughout the night? wine & vodka? that's called feeling no pain. :) i make mulled cider. i will try adding bourdeaux (though i don't know how to buy it) and vodka to it.
