Food in Osaka

I want to talk about some really good food I have when I was in Japan (yes, I know it's 2 mths ago, but I just don't have time and mood to talk about it).  As introduced by my AnD Japanese friends (Thanks a lot!), I've visited some famous restaurants there.  But, I'm sorry, I didn't have any food pics, cos we were so tired all the time, everytime we got into a restaurant, we just sat down, and ordered, and ate, and of course forced Amelie to eat something.  So no pic of food (plus I'm no good in taking pic of food, as compared to all of you, your pics on food are all look so yummy) , just use your imagination, cos they are all in my STOMACH!

This is a place called 浪花美食橫丁, near to Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan (海遊館), they have all the famous Japanese food in there, like a food court.  We have 自由軒's Curry rice and 蛋包飯.  Very different fm. the Indian curry/ HK curry/ Japanese curry, cos they add an raw egg on the curry rice.

This restaurant is called Zuboraya, a Globefish河豚 restaurant.  My first time to eat this fish, cos it's poison if not being well prepared, and I think it's safer to eat this fish in Japan.   We ordered a set, which includes sashimi, deep fried, hot pot, anyway, lots of small dishes, and it costs YEN10,000+/ person.  I think sashimi is the best.

My favourite food, crab; I've been to this restaurant when I visited Tokyo some years ago, so I insisted to go there again in Osaka.  We ordered a set as well, with hot pot (my favourite), sashimi ( I don't prefer this), deep fried, and of course lots of other small dishes, and it costs yen10,000+/ set too.  Also, you need to make a reservation first before you go there, cos we went there @5pm, and we need to waited till 7pm to have seats for us, very popular restaurant there, and they have 2 restaurants on the same street.

This ramen (noodle) shop is strongly recommended by my E, he always went there when he studied in Osaka.  So yummy esp. when the weather is cold.

This is the small size Glico Neonlight, and they have a shop selling all kinds of Glico snack food.  This one is very yummy, we just finished the whole piece in an hour (it's dried cuttlefish), and I think it's a good present too, cos the package is the Japanese yen money note:

This is another place in Osaka, called 新世界Shinsekai, the restaurant we went to is called 初エビス 串かつ(燒) , famous for  お好み燒き and BBQ, see Amelie is waiting to cook:

And behind me is 通天閣 (the tower), basically the whole street is full of restaurants selling BBQ meat on a wooden stick, see everyone is line-up outside the restaurants, so crowded, and we have waited for 30 mins, and see it's not so expensive, only yen80/ each stick:

In Kobe, there's a famous Chinatown there, but we only have a TV Champion Meat Bum, and a fried noodles for Amelie, cos the Chinese food there is so expensive!
