Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since I've blogged here or been active on my page. Sorry, for being neglectful, but I've been busy with some other things on my plate. Anyway, upon my return to Alive Not Dead after a long hiatus, I was very pleased to find the new fans and abundant words of encouragement from you all! Thank you so much for showing me love. I will do my best to regularly say hello, and update everyone on what's going on with my music endeavors. Your support truly inspires me, and for that, I am very grateful.

Lately, I've been writing a lot of original music with the talented and versatile Johnny Chao, Jr. www.alivenotdead.com/johnnychao), hoping that someday soon, I'll be able to make available for your hearing some of the music from our collaboration. For now, you can listen to me sing a few songs, which are in my music playlist on my page that I just uploaded today! Most of the songs are covers of songs by other artists, but "Fall Like Autumn Leaves" is an original song Johnny Chao and I wrote last year. As they become available, I will add more songs and update my music playlist.

I am a Chinese American singer and songwriter. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and lived on the East Coast for 15 years before I returned to California a few years ago. My passionate affinity for music transcends all genres and styles, but my eternal love for R & B and jazzy, soulful music is the strongest and most influential in my singing and songwriting style. I am enamored with the contemporary genre of Neo-Soul because of its soulful groove, soothing subtlety, and eclectic fusion of music origins. I also think this genre of music best show-cases the bluesy and soulful sound in my voice. Artists who inspire me and move me include Maxwell, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, India Arie, Alicia Keys, and Joss Stone.

For the past year, I have been thoroughly enjoying writing original songs with producer and music composer Johnny Chao, Jr. (http://www.johnnychao.com and www.alivenotdead.com/johnnychao). One of the products of our collaboration is a sweet jazzy tune, “Fall Like Autumn Leaves," which is on my music playlist.

I am truly grateful for all that has transpired since I began traversing on this fateful journey to explore my artistic talents and have complete faith that God will continue to bless my music career with boundless and enriching opportunities.
