Be Part of the HAHA Day Charity Event!

The Joyful Foundation is proudly presenting this special event “HAHA DAY” on 25 July, 2010. The aim of the event is very simple, we promote smile. "HAHA DAY!!" is a celebration of happiness, is a day to display the most smiling faces of the Hong Kong community. Through breaking the Guinness World Records of largest photo exhibition of smiling faces, we want to raise public awareness about depression that occurs in people of all ages and backgrounds. We want people to understand the importance of positive attitude towards their lives. Joyful Foundation believes a smile can bring you positive attitude to face difficulties, and it will eventually bring positive influential power to the community.

We aim to collect 140,000 or more smiling photos, Everyone can join this special event, on that day we just want everyone in Hong Kong to join the laughter. For each qualified photo, we will donate HK$1 to the Joyful Foundation.
Simply upload a photo of your smiling faces to facebook “HAHA DAY” group.
(click on the photos tab on the group page and then on the "add to group photos" button at the top)
Or you can send your high quality photo to email: hahaday25072010@yahoo.com.hk.
For hard copy, please mail to "Room 24, 14/F, Sing Win Factory, 15-17 Shing YIP Street, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong".

Atomic Floyd Headphones

I just got my hands on a pair of Atomic Floyd HiDefDrum Headphones and I must say I'm loving them. Excellent overall sound quality with awesome Bass and Treble. Besides the great sound that these produce, I'm really impressed by the quality of materials the headphones are made of. I've owned so many pairs of expensive headphones that break after a couple of months, but these Atomic Floyd ones are built to last. I've never seen this before, but the cables are made of a nylon cord type of material which helps it keep from getting tangled and torn. The ear buds are made of a really durable metal that fit well in my ears. The headphones also come equipped with a sweet mic for use with your mobile phone. On top of it all, the packaging is beautiful! Lots of really nice touches from the carrying case, the airplane adapter, the vip card, and brochure. I definately recommend these headphones to everyone!

Best of all from July 1st- 22nd, if you buy anything from the alivenotdead store, you will be entered to win a pair of these bad boys!

Packaging is so nice. I'm a design guy so I geek out on these things.

I think I would make a better spokes model than this guy!

The black circular thing is the carrying case. Very convenient to wrap the cord around.

Boon (aka King Kong Khoo) was born into poverty in the rural village of Dog Meat Taiwan, and is truly a story of rags to riches. From the beginning, Boon had a difficult childhood. His parents, trying to make ends meet, became Chinese acrobats and Boon was thrust into the circus at a very tender age. His mom was a plate spinner, his dad a human contortionist known as the Pai Gow Pretzel. Boon became a master of Chi and soon grew to be the headlining act for the circus. People came from near and far to see Wonder Weeny, the boy who could pull a busload of people with his privates.

But with all his fame and fortune came drugs, sex, and alcohol. Boon found himself spinning out of control like the plates on his mother's head. He withdrew from the fast paced life of the circus and into the world of entrapreneurship. He opened a modest business manufacturing Chinese finger cuffs. To no surprise it grew into a multi-billion dollar empire, as he became the sole supplier of Chinese finger cuffs to the world.

Boon had truly made it. Everything he touched turned to gold. Once again Boon found himself in the limelight, flying around the globe in his private jet "Finger Force 1", giving lectures at prestigious universities on finger cuffs. Even appearing of the cover of Finger Cuff Weekly while giving the finger.

But once again, tragedy struck. One cold December night would change his life forever. Sitting at home alone, Boon attempted to perform the most dangerous and often fatal of all finger cuff maneuvers, the "Stucky Stucky You Won't Be So Lucky", where one inserts all ten fingers into the finger cuff simultaneously. Even an escape artist such as Houdini could not withstand the finger cuff's mighty hold. Two days later, Boon's fingers had to be amputated and all his dreams and hopes became like the stubs on his hands that had no fingers and were stubs. Then he became a web designer.
