thank you to all my lovely friends for a most awesome birthday celebration week :) while no hawaii trip and hanging out on the beach (hi patrick and stpehen! can't believe it's been a year...), still lots of good times with friends. here are some photos for now including cake at the office, afternoon at the science musuem, dinner at all you can eat/drink shabushabu, and cake at home with family

and finally, my favorite: a text message from my little brother (he is "con", i am "me"). time stamped on october 23rd. HIS birthday is on the 21st, you would think that he would remember mine since it's so close. I like how the last txt is 5 minutes later... which means he must have sat there for 5 minutes feeling dumb. LOVE IT. 

upon being called dumbo from his loving sister, he responded that he knew it was on the 25th, he just thought that day was the 25th. he sent it at 11AM when he was in class. i'm not sure that's all that much better...

he did make up for it though with a good-mornin-first-thing-when-I-woke-up, deliver-directly-to-the-bedside birthday greeting!
