About shooting lightings, You need to be lucky to trigger just in time, but i guess you were having a longer time exposure ;-)

No worries, I am in no hurry to get the meta data...our typical westcoast weather (rain) prevails...Seattle even had snow last week, believe it or not...so no chance of capturing any exciting thunderstorm on glass here. I shoot anything that appeals to my senses, particularly landscape. Yes, my computer shows EXIF but you're right, after the images are compressed here, there's hardly any of the info left. Gonna spend some time browsing your photos now...
