• Construction continues - Stepping towards completion

  Well today's progress is not quite as exciting. 
  The drywall hanger came back and got all the drywall completely up and got the mudding done.
  When I came up to the house I finally got to see the stairs they put in. Very cool stairs! 
  
  Funny story - while we've been working on the house, we've kept a key hidden under the new door stuck in a gap in the wood. It was out of sight and you had to know where to look.  Well, the guys did know where the key was but they just sorta half looked and didn't see it. Turns out they built the stairs right over the key!  Luckily she had another key and put it in a different hiding place so we could let the workers in.
  
  
  So here goes -
  
    This is how the new stairs looked when I arrived.  The small door is access to the water heater.
  
    This is after I painted the door (and the sides of the stairs) the same color as the house.
  
    Here's the guy mixing some mud. (see round is a shape)
  
    He's good at putting this stuff up.
  
    Looks better now that there is drywall around the opening.
  
  View from the kitchen.  Drywall makes the opening look finished. 
  
  Bonus:
  Say hi to Cloe.  She waschecking everything out.  Dragging that long hair in all the dust!
