24 Herbs + Mobb Deep at the MTV EMA Preparty

Last night MTV hosted an event here in HK which was hypothetically some kind of promotional pre-party for the European Music Awards (EMAs?)  -- but it was mostly just an excuse to have a party, the EMA 'preview' stuff only lasted like 5 minutes! :-P

it was held at an awesome location on the roof top of the IFC mall (between the IFC 1 and IFC 2 towers in Central here in downtown HK. 

They had three musical acts,  a cantonese singer named Andy Hui,  everyone's favorite Cantonese rap-group 24 Herbs and from the US, hip-hop group Mobb Deep.

I was surprised to see a familiar face serving as one of the MC's... yes thats right, its the beautiful and the multi-talented Lisa S!　リサさんはホストした。初めけど上手！

They did a fashion show for the sponsor, EDC by espirit... ファションショウもした：



not  particularly  spectacular.  i thought the models looked much better later on when I saw them changed back into their normal clothes. :-P

First up was Alan Hui... who i was not familiar with...

he sang some cantonese songs,  i think he should refrain from trying to dance around too much while he is singing...  some people seemed to like his music though.

I spent most of the time he was performing trying to snap a picture of his weird boots. :-P

Finally Mobb Deep:

Unfortunately for Mobb Deep, this wasn't their kind of crowd.. a lot of  guys in suits and ties who came down from their offices in the IFC tower, etc...  the Andy Hui fans were not getting into the 'throw your hands up!' and 'Make some noise Hong Kong!'  calls. :-P
