I'm excited to see who wins. It should be fun no matter what. I've gotten some help from my friend Junko to make the japanese version...

Secondly:
Today was a pretty hectic day. I ran down to Hong Hom to look at an apartment near the station. It turns out they've got one of the $9k 1 bedroom units available... its a bit small and no view, but the building is less than a year old and the location isn't bad. I was talking my dad on skype and trying to explain the location so I made use of Google Maps awesome customizable map features:

this shows my current home and the new apartment i'm considering, as well as my current and future work locations. so as you can see, my job is moving to the island, so living up in the boonies is not a practical option anymore. :-P

ps - Jesskah: I wish there was a way to embed the map directly into a blog... is there? there should be! (update: i found this site that says it can do it, but it doesn't seem to work here on AnD)

nice map! you can't embed it on alivenotdead because they strip all JavaScript out of the blog entries. if you can get stephen & pat to fix that or permit it, you can embed a map easily, similar to how i've done it on this page:

yes, thats the same company. there's two places - Horizon Harborview and Horizon Harborfront (how's THAT for confusingly similar names?)

they use those prices as a scam, there are only a few 2 bedrooms at 9.9k, and they fill up quick, now the cheapest is like 11k in harborview and 13k in harborfront...

There's a service apartment (fully furnished) near Hung Hom station as well, and they have shuttle bus going to TST everyday; but I think it costs 9.9K for 2 bedrooms apartment w/ kitchen and bathroom. Cos my hubby's company has rented one there for the employees if we need to go to HK. And I've stayed there before, it's small but very neat and tidy. I think it's called 海韻軒, it has a hotel beside it as well. Or did you go to the same apartment as well?

i'm glad you think so. it was Rottendoubt's idea. a good way to team up with the artists to help the members. I think we are already planning more contests and promotions!

I entered...yeah! I love Hawaii....I know the roads pretty well, too....fortunately you can't get too lost because it's an island!

This is a great idea!
