OK, another blog from last last week's trip to Hawaii w/ the AnD guys. As I mentioned that day, we went on a catamaran trip during the daytime before the FTG screening.
It was a pretty snazzy boat (50+ft Catamaran), here are some pictures I got from the water (with my waterproof camera case):
A lot of sun:
Notice who isn't lying out in the sun? me! I was in super sunburn alert mode... the whole time.. had my shirt and hat on all the time looking like an octogenarian from Florida... 太陽強かったから、日焼けとても心配した!因為我的皮膚非常白我最怕的是日燒!
We sailed out to the south east past diamond head and out into the open sea... the waves were pretty rough at times, but it was a lot of fun. Right after I took the picture on the right Greg was taken out by a big wave coming over the bow...
On the way back we spotted some dolphins... デイアモンドへアドお外にイルカ何匹を見た!すごい!
translator's note: I just learned that the japanese word for dolphin, iruka (イルカ) actually has the chinese characters 海豚, which literally translates to Sea Pig.... I've only seen it written in phonetics before... but I guess this explains why Japanese people don't mind eating sea mammals like whales... :-P
for a brief moment a few actually came and swam under the bow of our ship too. It was hard to get a good picture cause they wouldn't stay still very long! 帆走時イルカも船頭した。
One of the coolest things was as we were headed back towards the docks... we passed by some surfers waiting for some breaking waves...
埠頭まで帰た時サーファー人見た、ビデオを撮った。見て!
of course its easier to see this on video than from stills... so here's a video compilation! take a look:
