  • Hawaii - pt 3

    Sorry guys, no time to blog, i need to get to sleep, but day 3 was good.  by shear force of will and determination,  I forced everyone to get up and out of the house at a resonable hour....

    we went up to Kailua Beach (wikipedia) - which is apparently one of the best beaches in the world...  i wouldn't say it was /that/ amazing, but the sand was nice and fine and clean.  and the water was warm and the surf wasn't too rough. 

    and even though it was saturday afternoon, it wasn't too crowded! 


    not too bad, right?


    at one point this church group came to the beach and did a baptism.  a priest and this woman waded out into the surf and he dunked her (in jesus' eternal forgiveness, aka the Pacific Ocean!) 

    the other good news -  etchy didn't get sunburn! :-D

    ok.  time for bed.  I gotta get up early and pick up people for scuba.  I already loaded my camera into my waterproof case!

    i couldn't help myself but to laugh.  giving baptisim at the beach??? hahahaha... i'm so sorry that as a catholic, i'm laughing at it.  so weird!!!  what the f@#!!!

    i love kailua beach!!! we went there at 9am in the morning, so it was like we almost got the beach to ourselves...

    Oh cool a baptism in the Ocean.
    Sounds like a nice relaxing day at the beach. Have fun on the scuba trip, hope you get some awesome underwater photo opportunities.
