In Tokyo - pt 2

Today was 'The Heavenly Kings' screening at the China Film Festival of Japan.  Daniel dd a Q and A afterwards,  it was really interesting to see how a film festival is done in Japan... much different than everywhere else....　　読むの人は日本語分かるから、もちろん知っている、今日は東京で「四大天王」ショウありました。ダニエル君も参加した、全部400人上へ行った！すごい！たくさん日本のAnDメムバーを会った、とても楽しかった！ナリタカちゃんとてもすごい、オフ回の予定しました！有難うございました！

The turn out was GREAT... like 400+ people! very impressive... 

I took a few photos and of course video (i tried to do a better job videoing than I did during the Hawaii Film Festival Q and A...   You'll have to wait for it though. it'll take me a few days to prepare. ;-)

After the screening I met SOOO many AnD members... at least 20+.  Since Japanese people rarely share their own pictures on their online profiles, i had to wait for them to come to me and say hi though, since I couldn't recognize anyone. ;-)

Naritaka-chan helped organize an 'Offline Meeting' for AnD members,  we had Okonomiyaki in Shibuya.  One of my favorites! ;-)

We had a room for 13 people booked, but it ended up being well over 20 people:




Despite the language barrier,  we all united around food and drink. (just no Mayonnaise for Etchy!)

We were lucky to have a celebrity appearence too:

Mr. Hiro Hayama did a meet-and-greet. ;-)


We even had some AnD members from the US come out (BlueSteel and Mcchubb)!    How's that for super-fandom?! ;-)  アメリカからのメムバーも来た！すごい遠い！

Got absolutely stuffed.  it was also fun to connect with the Japanese fans and explain to them in person how we went from the Alivenotdead.com they saw in the film to the one you are viewing this blog on right now. 

I'm glad we were able to organize this event, it not only energizes the members, but also energizes me about the work we're doing!   [Some of the members work in the Japanese media, so there lots of potential there for improving alivenotdead.com's reach into new countries.  Lots of possibilities!]

今もすぐ朝5時！疲れた過ぎ！この部日本語まで翻訳できません！でも皆有難う！
its really late,  i just want to go to sleep, tomorrow's a free day here in Tokyo..  I just want to relax,  do some 2nd hand CD shopping, and of course also hit up a maid cafe in Akiba. ;-)
