MGM Grand Macau Opening Night Party

On Tuesday night we were fortunate enough to be invited to attend the grand opening festivities for the MGM Grand Macao Casino. A large group of us took the Turbojet ferry to Macau for the event. (note: i usually use 'Macau', but in Macau they write 'Macao', so forgive me if I mix them up). :-P

火曜日夜マカオのMGMグランドマカオカジノの開館パーティを参加した。ちょっと写真を撮った。

I took some pics and video, mostly of me and my friends , and not too many of the actual building or the party. But there's a few worth checking out.

This is the main hall where they had the party. Full of VIP guests....

Yes, a team of brazillian samba dancers in the requisite thong bikini.... no expense was spared!

While we were watching the events we could see some fireworks going off through those skylights on the roof, but I had no idea how fancy it was. this is a video I found on youtube that someone took from outside:

There were also some familiar faces:

The beautiful Miss Jolie Chan (陳苑淇)! -- no i wasn't waiting behind some bushes to ambush her.

The beautiful Rosemary Vandenbroucke was there too, but since we ran into her at the casino, I couldn't take a picture. (i didn't want to test the new security guards...)

有名な美女が居ました。ジョーリーチャンです。ロスマーリーVも居た、でもカジノで会ったから、写真撮りませんでした。：-P

but like i said, i mostly just took pictures of the guys i was there with... here's a few:

I'd like to lie and say I came with such a beautiful date while the rest of the guys were just hanging out with each other... but i don't want to be a liar. :-P

after the gambling... Conroy said "Bet it all on black" and he won!

On the way out, we stopped for a group photo... don't know when the next time we're all going to be this dressed up will be:

Actually I have one more blog from this event... but it'll take me a while to prepare my video. maybe I'll get it done over the weekend if I'm lucky. :-P

yes, you take a high speed ferry from hk to macau. although they're supposed to build a super bridge sometime soon...
