  • New James Bond Movie - Quantum of Solace

    FRESH: 6/10  6/10 Movie: Quantum of Solace (2008)




    Apparently this movie came out overseas before the US... I saw it on Sunday last weekend.

    It helps if you have recently watched 'Casino Royale' so you're up on everything, but basically its typical James Bond... lots and lots of action, some good chase scenes, some good driving, etc.


    My main gripe is that the story is overly convoluted... maybe not quite as bad as many recent movies (Dark Knight, Indy 4, etc), but still, if they kept the plot twists and revenge motivations to a minimum, I think everyone would come out better... oh, and they should try and NOT make some of the set pieces sole purpose for existing to be blown up or otherwise destroyed... its too obvious! :-P

    6/10.

    not so bad, i give a 7. pretty good. i like this bond. my only complaint is that they overdid the scene where his boss M fears that he is killing too many people too easily. also felt the opening scene with the aston martin should have been longer with the cars drifting a bit more noticeable down those awesone sand slopes!

    i watched it last weekend. did you know that daniel craig decapitated his baby finger while filming???... heard this one may be his last, due to his frequent injury while filming. =/

    Watch it at any UA Cinema in Hong Kong and you'll catch our DNM AD on the big screen!

    oh, and we all agree about the movie. It was set piece (explode) ,exposition, set piece(shoot it up) exposition, repeat.
