Rush Hour 3 Screening in HK: Yumiko Cheng / Aimee Chan

Tonight we went down to the HK convention center in Wanchai to attend a press screening of Jackie Chan's new film 'Rush Hour 3':

From what I heard there was some other premiere event with a red carpet or something a few days earlier, but this one was mostly for VIPs and guests and press.  Although there were some VIPs here today too... (but sadly, no stars from the movie! Jackie is back in China filming 'Forbidden Kingdom' and doing Olympics appearences! 糟糕!)

They had the typical stage w/ autographs.  Unfortunately I didn't recognize most of the people that the press was taking all these pictures of.  Anyone know?  if in doubt, I assume they're TVB drama stars... :-P

This woman was some sort of MC.  It was mostly in cantonese so I didn't follow much of what was being said. :-P 

Several TV crews were trolling around looking for celeb types to interview... 

But the cameramen were more interesting:

They were much more mobile than the TV crews, so they would run from one side to another and take pictures of anything and everything.  Of course once they see someone else taking pictures of someone, they'll rush over to make sure they're not missing out. 

And they're really shameless too... this woman on the far left was with some old guy, she was well into her 40s and had clearly had a lot of plastic surgery... she was flaunting a pair of large, artificially enhanced breasts...  once the photographers saw her they started snapping away, but it was clear that their zoom lenses were not focusing on her face most of the time. :-P

But most of the attention was focused on this group:

I have no idea who any of these people are except for the attractive woman in the middle, Yumiko Cheng, who was also at the 24 Herbs show this past weekend (Raul got a picture with her).

You've probably heard of Yumiko Cheng's name before... probably in the sentence  "Yumiko Cheng Wardrobe Malfunction" (she had TWO actually).  She is quite attractive. ~90% of the press completely ignored the stuff on stage and continued to snap away for many minutes:

This event was hosted by Celestial Pictures (the distributor for Rush Hour 3 in HK), and held in collaboration with the Wai Yin Association (website), which is a charity organization made up of former Miss Hong Kong winners and contestants.   

I'm not sure exactly who was who in this group either except for the white guy in the middle, he's the head of Celestial Pictures (the one who's welcome speech was being practically ignored by the press when Yumiko showed up) and on the far right: my favorite former Miss Hong Kong, AnD artist Aimee Chan.  Maybe if we're lucky she'll blog about this event with better pictures.

They did some weird PR thing where they gave each person a toy pistol and posted for some photos and shot off some streamer fireworks...
