    back in HK...   interesting trip!

A bit tiring, but a lot of good networking opportunities and valuable for AnD's future I think...

i'll blog more about it later when i get a chance to catch my breath... (this week will be super busy too though...  of course)

    In a somewhat related note:

Does anyone know how to get wax off of clothes?
I got candle wax all over my shirt and bag today...

(and before you ask, no it wasn't some weird S&M thing...)

Good tips you got for the removal of the wax, hope they solve the problem.

Glad the trip went well for you and AnD.

Take ice cubes and freeze the wax.  Don't soak the fabric.  You should be able to scrape the wax off with a butter knife.  This works with chewing gum also.

Dish soap detergent and hot water will work because the wax is a lipid... the detergent will attract it when it melts in the hot water.  Just hand wash the area with the wax :)

I got wax on my clothes before, I just scraped it off with a fruit knife. I think you're suppose to place a paper towel over the wax and iron over the top. I think the paper towel is suppose to absorb the wax or something.

    Well then what was it?
Um I know with skin you have to use Oil like vegetable oil or something..
Um sweetie don't put a toaster on it!
You should do a web search or look at martha stewart's page or something cause I have this feeling you're going to end up making it worse...

mindy:  unfortunately i don't own a hair dryer,  my hair is too short to need one...  I'll either have to break out the iron, or maybe try laying it on top of my toaster oven or something. ;-)

    ah, professional help!

I wasn't sure if it was a good idea to try heat or not (lest it just melt it into the fabric deeper...)  but  i'll try it tomorrow when i get a chance.  luckily its clear (white) and its hardly visible on more expensive piece clothing it got on.

Use a hair dryer & blow the wax until it melts.
Wipe with a paper towel. If there are still some left, wipe with a damp cloth.

    Pauline's method works too.

put a kleenex tissue over the area.. and use warm iron..or check the care label..hot iron is better if you can use it... .if you are wearing it...you can use a hot coffee jug.... and just roll it over the wax...should melt right off..unless it is COLOR ...wax..then u might have a bigger prob..
