another quick one...

11 hours to go before take-off...  I've got most of my stuff packed up for Hawaii,  just prepping my DS and my phone videos (i'm half way through the Japanese version my favorite old school Anime...)

My friend じゅんちゃんactually sent me a picture of this same 'character' the other day,  but wasn't surprised when i told her I already a got a picture.  She referred to this thing as 'Meat-Man',  but I think upon closer inspection its actually a girl in there....

but yeah,  referring to Danpak's blog... a pretty crappy job... parading around like a piece of meat (and not in the figurative way!)

A few weeks back Bob and I were trying to get a poker game going but no one had chips handy, so we were searching for them in CWB.  We stopped at Toys R US, they sell everything BUT poker chips, but I got a picture of something strange:

Holy shit, the officially licensed Monopoly Game for China!

OK, this is taking it TOO FAR!  I know Parker Brothers is making lots of 'localized' versions of Monopoly (college campuses, major cities of the world, etc).

But goddamn,  to mate a the Peoples' Republic of China and Monopoly - the quintessential symbol of Capitalism!    Mao must be rolling in his grave!! 

Someone should bring this to the People's Congress in Beijing and say 'Do you guys even pretend to be Communists anymore?'

On the way out we passed by a cool model shop which also sold a lot of figures.  In addition to some cool Bruce Lee ones, they had this:
