FM NEWS: ATTENTION SCHOOL CLUBS!

THE INTERNATIONAL SECRET AGENTS are coming to San Francisco!

Wong Fu Productions and The Far-east Movement would like to meet any high school, college, or community organization leaders and members while they are up in the Bay Area on March 2nd and 3rd for the ISA Ticket Sale Tour and School Promo for the International Secret Agents Concert being held on March 20th, 2009 at the Palace Of Fine Arts.

***Any club or org leaders interested on promoting the ISA Concert, getting tickets for your clubs early, and meeting with the Far-east Movement and Wong Fu Productions in person during the ISA Ticket Sales Tour, Please email: isashowcase@gmail.com

Last year we threw the ISA concert in San Gabriel Valley working with clubs and schools in the area, showcasing Asian American artists that are breaking through to mainstream media on their own terms. The concert was a huge success, selling out the San Gabriel Civic center of 1300 capacity.

FM Collab with Alpine Electronics.. LOWRIDIN

FM ADVENTURE: LOWRIDIN x ALPINE

Yall have seen the shots for the "FETISH" music video, but we've been shooting a double video... we're also shooting "LOWRIDIN", the version we had on Power 106 and radio stations nation-wide, to showcase our new collaboration tee shirt we're finally releasing with ORISUE...

THE FM X ORISUE LOWRIDIN TEE SHIRT available online on March 7th, 2009... The day the music videos premiere.

For this video, we had to make sure it wasn't a typical 'Lowrider' video.. so beyond the usual fixed up rides, we had to team up with the one and only ALPINE ELECTRONICS, the leaders in car audio, who furnished their award winning concept cars for the right look to match the new "LOWRIDIN" sound.

The FM All Star Weekend...

FM ADVENTURE: FM ALL STAR WEEKEND

After the rockin shows at QC 20/20 and Sage lounge.. we packed our things in a rental van at 3am and headed straight to Phoenix, Arizona for the NBA All Star Weekend.

Arrived to Phoenix bright and early with no sleep... ready to start one of the most memorable weekends for FM...

Linked up with 101.5 Jamz's DJ Mikee Mike to head over to the NBA All Star Jam Session celebrity game in downtown Phoenix that the radio station was hosting where J-Splif and DJ Virman would be playing and Proh and I would be guest referees... but i don't know the rules.. lol.

Besides rapping, one of J-Splif's other dreams was playing in the NBA.. this is the closest the homie will probably ever get.. Shine on my brutha.

FM Mistaken Celeb Sighting #1: Someone thought J-Splif was Hollywood Dj and Dim Mak Creator, Steve Aoki..

I'd say its pretty daym close.. we'll call him 'STEVE A-OK"...time to roll with J to Cinespace on tues and get him on the turntables playing "GIRLS ON THE DANCE FLOOR" lol.

Before the Grammy Awards this weekend, DJ E-Man from Big Boy's Neighborhood and Power 106 was spinning at Opera in Hollywood and had some special guests come out which include Akon, Bentley Fondsworth, The Dream, Red Cafe and asked us to come thru for a surprise performance of our new single "Girls On The Dance Floor"

The Far*East Movement (also known as FM), hailing from the clubs and streets of Los Angeles, are one of the freshest crews representing the next generation of artists and “fly music.” Members Kev Nish, Prohgress, J-Splif, and DJ Virman have created a huge industry buzz with major companies, radio stations, and club djs worldwide through their international appeal, energetic live shows, and collaborations with top street wear companies. Finding their inspiration from the diverse city blocks and night club scene of Southern California, FM has built a strong internet fan base and a new lifestyle brand for the next generation of youth around the world. “The Far East Movement is the name for our music, lifestyle, and our party. For the diverse music fan that hits up 3 clubs in 1 night, tuned to the racing scene and fashion, and back on the computer religiously checking blogs and sites for anything related to that.”- FM

FM has embarked on 2 World Tours (including the USA, South America, Canada, Europe and Asia) and recently featured on the 35 city Party Rock Tour with LMFAO, signed distribution deals in Japan and Korea (Avex Network and JF Productions respectively), garnered multiple features on MTV World, and also featured music on worldwide media such as FOX’s “So You Think You Can Dance”, MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew”, ABC Family’s Lincoln Heights, CBS Primetime shows “CSI: Miami” and “CSI: NY”, multiple placements on HBO’s “Entourage”, “Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift” and “Finishing the Game” (a featured film at Sundance 2007). FM was also the first Asian act to perform at the Sundance Film Festival’s prestigious Music Café Gala hosted by ASCAP, and was also recently a featured act at the Cannes Film Festival in France.

Working with Transparent Agency, top Asian Amercian lifestyle marketing agency, the Far-east Movement has been sought out by major companies to endorse their products within the marketing world. They have worked with McDonalds as celebrity judges and were featured artists for the national Big Mac Chant campaign and spokespersons/tour headliners for McDonald’s Lost Ring campaign during the 2008 Olympics. FM were also featured artists for Verizon Wireless’s LG Dare ‘Touch One’ Campaign. They’ve also co-created a series of live concerts with Wong Fu Productions to benefit community outreach called the International Secret Agents with endorsements by JC Penney and Verizon.

Far East Movement’s single “Girls On The Dance Floor” has taken over clubs and radio stations around the world, reaching #1 on Los Angeles radio and charting on the Billboard Charts, which resulted in FM signing their first major record deal with Cherrytree/ Interscope Records. Far East Movement is currently the studio working with the Stereotypes (Production team) on their first major release in 2010.

--FM was a featured artist on the nationwide 35 city Party Rock Tour with LMFAO, Shwayze, The Paradiso Girls and Space Cowboy.
