Back to Fall!

I've been having trouble accessing AnD for the past 2 days... anyone else have that problem?

anyway, I'm back!  I was away in Vancouver over the past few days and I must say, I'm surprised at how cold it's gotten.  Now that summer is gone, I'm really starting to miss dragon boating and all the fun summer activities.

Vancouver was fun as usual.  I went down to the Seattle premium outlets for a quick day trip but didn't really buy anything other than a winter jacket.  The best part of the trip was going to Granville Island (just under the Granville street bridge that links downtown Vancouver to the rest of the suburbs)  I can't believe I've never been to this part of town - it's essentially a farmer's market along with tons of artists studios and lofts where they create and sell their crafts!  Things like a sake making studio (bought myself a nice bottle) silk weaving (they had live silk worms in aquariums!), jewelery, art, etc.!  I could've spent an entire day just exploring the area!
