Two Kinds of Honesty - Coldplay vs Jay Z

I like this video for a few reasons. Mainly because you have Chris Martin singing in a kind of honesty that’s a little metaphorical and riddle-ridden. Then you have Jay Z who comes in and gives a very specific kind of interpretation to the song. I like both kinds.

FAWM with or Without Fawm.org

Last year this time, I took part in a crazy songwriting marathon called February Album Writing Month, or FAWM. It was a blast and quite a success in my opinion. I came out with about 8 songs that will appear on my upcoming CD, What Birds Dream.
In case you want to participate, this year’s FAWM.org is still under construction. Should be live in the next few days, I’m guessing.
However, whether or not the site is live, I’m writing 14 songs during the month of February. I’ve been trying to get as many people as possible to join me this year. Are you with me?

What Birds Dream Update

Just wanted to take a second and give an update on the new album. I’m dedicating almost all of next week to production. In fact, I’ve been working on it quite a bit this month. If all goes well, I’ll be doing a CD release in April or May. I’m planning to launch a new web site, too. I have a really good feeling about this project and about the coming year. I plan to be back in the states at some point in the Summer or Fall and I plan on doing a few shows. Stay tuned for more…

Live at the Wanch

It’s not pronounced like “ranch” or “conch.” It’s “Wanch.” Like launch.
I’m playing there tonight all by myself.
Come back to this page around 11pm HK time / 10am ET on Thursday. The plan is to stream a few of the songs here. I’m experimenting with Qik.com, which lets you stream video and audio from your phone. So in other words, don’t get your hopes up.
