There is a path for everyone...

I attended a session of NUS's Commencement Ceremony 2007 today. I realized I can never fit in to society norms. I am not one who had worked hard academically, or one who had gone through a normal teenage-hood. I realized my thinking, my general-knowledge, my ideals, my priorities and interests in life are all very specific and conforms to only a certain, small group of the population. Most people in Singapore follows a certain template in their life or career and a small group of people don't. Unfortunately, I'm one of those who don't. Does this means that our future won't be as bright? Not necessary. However, I know for sure, we will have to take a longer time to see light at the end of the tunnel. I know for sure, we will have much, much more hurdles and obstacles than the majority to overcome. And even so, we have to tolerate the uncertainty of whether if we will really see light in the end. Some of us takes a very long time but in my opinion, as long as you reach where you wanna be in life, it doesn't matter how long it takes because sad to say, many of us in this minority group ultimately do not get to taste the fruits of our labour. So, we can only believe and constantly remind ourselves that there IS a different right path for everyone to get to where they wanna be in life and that we might already be well on our way, and just push on, push on, push on forward, never stopping.
Oh ya, I had resigned from my air stewarding job already. I didn't even noticed that near to two years had passed by so quickly. It's time for me to move on to... erm... god knows what. We shall see. :)
I miss my family a lot. I wonder what they are doing now...
