Past, present and future.

The past
I've been going to a new dance lesson, in an other studio, since half December. This one is much more difficult than the other one (kinda look like the ones I had in Japan except that it's not focused on short choreography). The reason is easy to find when you look at the people in the class, almost all of them dance a lot and have a few years of dance behind them even though they are new to house.
Now when, I began the level 2 class in January 2008 I was far behind and I'm now about the same level as most of the other students so the better the other students the better I will get.
I also went to a second hip hop class (I have to decide if I will go on with it this afternoon but I guess so) with another teacher, Fundi Omari he's been working as a choreographer in China for at least one year so maybe some of the guys on AnD know him though China is pretty big ).

Last, Monday was the new year cocktail of the Belgium-Japan Association. I made my way there as a committee member and enjoyed it. this was the first time for me to go in one of Brussels biggest and most expensive hotel.

Present
My dance teacher, the one I started with, being now on a European tour with 'Cirque du Soleil' he asked one of his friends, jazz & hip hop dancer, to replace him for a few weeks. The funny things is that it turned out to be one of the girl I'm dancing with at my new house class (told you level was far higher).

Future
I'm going to Paris with my Chinese teacher from Thursday 29th to Saturday 31st. She wanted to visit Europe so we just couldn't miss an opportunity to have 2-way trip by train at 38 euros (cheaper than the car, faster and no stress for the driver, me).

Then I'll go back to Paris on March 1st for the Juste Debout dance battle. i can't wait to see that. More than 10000 people in one of Paris biggest concert place, just for dance. That looks fun!

Then I'll be dancing on May 2nd, 3rd (same show for the new studio) and 8th (for the old studio).

In May, I'm also thinking about making a trip right after thos shows.
Right now I'm not really sure about where. Hong Kong seems at the top of the list (probably followed by either China, Korea or Japan) as I've never been there but I must admit I would be sad to make it there and to miss the AnD birthday party so not sure yet.
If not going to dance and have fun in Japan looks interesting too (but with current euro to yen exchange that might not be a good idea) or a trip to the US (but going to the US alone looks less appealing).

I've filmed myself rehearsing this morning so I still need to put in the pc have a look to make sure it's watchable and, if it is, upload it.
