• Two Grand Openings

  It’s been awhile since I’ve updated because I’ve been a little bit swamped with work lately!

  Last week Zara finally opened in Taipei after waiting YEARS for them to arrive.  The frenzy was ridiculous-  people waited in lines around the corner outside Taipei 101 in the rain just to get a chance to walk through the store.  Luckily for me, I was invited to the opening party—  I still had to wait in line behind some models and other socialites, but at least there was free champagne!  

  

  

  The other event that I had been working on was the grand opening of Vapiano Restaurant in Taipei.  It opened at the brand new ATT4Fun building, and the turn out was fantastic!  We got to taste a lot of the menu’s items as well as free-flowing red/white wine and champagne.  I was so tipsy that night, I went home at 10 pm and passed out-  even though it felt like 4am!  I didn’t even make it to the clubs… ha!  This event was important to me because a BUNCH of my friends were in attendance and I was performing!  Also, it was the first time I performed Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” live.  That song has a gazillion verses.  I was so worried I would flub the lyrics that I wrote a cheat sheet on my left palm!  In the end, as soon as the song started playing, my nerves calmed down and it all went smoothly.  No cheat sheet needed.  :)

• Halloween Fest 2011~

  I'm always trying to top myself every Halloween, coming up with something fun, original, and sexy!  This year was no exception.

  
  

  My girlfriends decided to channel Katy Perry's ET video alien, so that's where I got the make up inspiration from.  I had super blinding silver leggings from American Apparel already (don't ask me how), and I bought 2 yards of silver fabric for the top.  I was originally going to just pop a hole in the fabric, stick my head through it, and tie it off with a nice belt, pirate style, but lucky me, I bumped into my friend and designer Alex King Chen, and he offered to drape the fabric and make my sexy alien top for me!

  
  

  The costume was a success, and I had total strangers coming up to me asking for pictures!  I felt like one of those characters in costume at Disneyland walking around the park while random people ask for photos.  HA!

  
  

  For my Jack-O-lantern-  I went for a decidedly Asian theme this year.  A lot of people don't celebrate Halloween in Taiwan, and since I live in the suburbs and not in the city, I didn't want to scare the old people passing by with a scary face.  Instead I came up with the Welcome Lucky Cat (totally Asian-friendly) and designed it on paper first before carving it on a pumpkin!

• Happy Monday!

  剛剛看完電影（全境擴散）⋯⋯好可怕的故事！現在1點多，又是禮拜一，最近寫了很多新歌。想要多寫5首；明天我要加油！小朋友晚安！I just came home from watching a movie (Contagion). The story is quite frightening and real! Anyway, it's a little past 1am, and Monday has rolled around again. I've recently written a lot of new songs, but I want to write 5 more this week. Tomorrow I will get back to it! Time for bed now, good night my little lovers. ♥
