Found this new place known as Happer Damansara Jaya in …. Damansara Jaya! It’s around the row of shops around where the old Atria/Parkson Grand shopping mall used to be. Quite easy to find with an all white facade and they open from 11am onwards til late. Got to know about it as my friends …No related posts. -
Illegal Racing Getting Out of Hand

Illegal Racing is getting more and more rampant in the streets around Malaysia, not only the streets of KL but everywhere else, from Ipoh to Penang to Johor. It’s really getting out of hand and I do wonder what the police force is doing about it?I don’t care if they plan to kill themselves but endangering lifes of people around their ‘race tracks’? I’ve seen some accidents went terribly wrong and not only do these idiots get injured, even those that’s not involved were affected. Personally, my car had been ‘injured’ by one of this a$$h0le before too!
Sometimes, on my way home from events or parties at night, I do see these ‘racers’ congregating at pre-determined petrol stations around town. It’s easy to spot, there’s just so many of them! But why isn’t the police force do anything? Even by driving around, they could easily spot these guys waiting to start racing. If they want to say, “BUT These guys are just hanging out there and not racing….”, well, you could always charge them for illegal gathering right if there’s more than 3 people at the spot? Right?Time and time again, we see road blocks being set-up around town to make alcohol checks, why not change the location of the road-blocks onto roads actually used by these illegal racers so that something could be done at them too? Once I’ve seen cars and bikes literally racing up and down the stretch of road near my home and I don’t see any cops in sight. But, further down the road, I see a bunch of cops in their uniform sitting by the mamak stall having a drinks. Well, why not use that time to go stop some potential accidents waiting to happen rather than sitting there drinking?
Here’s 3 simple steps for the cops…
1. Stop sitting on your butt and roam the street (in normal cars) to check on these racers, the road direction do give a very good indication which path they’ll be using to race. There are various favorite hot spots where these ‘racers’ always hang out and congregate so it’s quite easy to identify unless we’re talking about a bunch of police officers that are either too stupid to realize or too lazy to bother to do their homework.
2. Get your men in position by entering the area from another direction so these guys doesn’t know about it. Set up the block at the other direction too cause they are bound to send out ’scouts’ to try and spot for ‘troubles’. I’ve seen quite a few time where they had road blocks here and bikes and cars just turn around and go the other way without any one stopping them.
3. DO YOUR WORK! Not only when there’s TV crew around only you do some action. I do feel that the cops tend to put their act together very well in front of the camera but you won’t see any more actions when there’s no cameras around.
I’m not complaining cause I don’t get to race around like them and all but it’s more of safety of the people around. If want to race, why not do it at the race track right? Maybe the Malaysian government could also look at creating a “race track” within the city by closing up stretches of road to allow them to race safely. Then there won’t be any complains of going to the race track is too far and all that stuff. No body want to see an accident happen where people are killed. Right? I don’t mind these people killing themselves (there’s too many idiots on the road anyway) but they shouldn’t endanger other people as well.

Salsa Night

It’s been awhile since I last step into a Salsa Club and it sure felt good going to Salsa Havana last Saturday. Many familiar faces and familiar songs that rocked the night away.
One of the reason I went was to catch up on things on the Salsa Congress side. All is looking good. The event planning side is coming together. It was all good.

Just received copies of this magazine produced by BestFoodJunction.com that is available at your nearest Newstands. You can find the magazine at places like MPH, Kinokuniya, Borders, Times, Popular, MyNews.com, 7-Eleven.
An Issue on Valentine’s Delight, this issue include picks from various food bloggers, among those featured in this magazine are PasanKia, Joan, Joe, Lilian, Jasmine, Christine, IpohWav3, Aishah, Big Boys Oven and not forgetting, Myself!
The articles that they took from me are old though, quite old until they had to remind me about the articles they are planning to use. I told them, it’s best that I re-write the article that they wanted to reflect the latest but it was too late as the magazine had gone to print. There’s a few gasp and shock here and there but then, there’s nothing much I could do as the article was already published.
Overall quality of the magazine is quite good, it doesn’t have that cheapo magazine feel despite only costing RM2.99 per copy. It does feel better than some magazine I read recently which was poorly made but cost more than RM10 per copy.

It’s the last day of Chinese New Year, the 15th day of the Lunar New Year. One of the major celebration held this day is known as the Chap Goh Meh (十五暝). The term is from the Hokkien dialect and refers to the fifteenth day of the first month, which is the occasion of the first full moon of the New Year.The occasion is marked by feasting and various festivities, including the consumption of tangyuan. In traditional Chinese culture, it is also celebrated as the Lantern Festival or the Shang Yuan Festival. In Southeast Asia, however, it coincides with the Chinese Valentine’s Day. It is also when young unmarried women gather to toss tangerines into the sea, in a hope that their future spouse will pick it up. In the past, this was also the only day that unmarried ladies could be seen with their partners.
On this day also, we celebrates the Lantern Festival (元宵節). It is not to be confused with the Mid-Autumn Festival, which is also sometimes known as the “Lantern Festival” in locations such as Singapore, Malaysia. During the Lantern Festival, children go out at night to temples carrying paper lanterns (兔子灯) and solve riddles on the lanterns (猜灯谜). It officially ends the Chinese New year.The Lantern Festival is also known as the Little New Year since it marks the end of the series of celebrations starting from the Chinese New Year. Koreans celebrate this festival as the Daeboreum. In Vietnam, this festival is named “Tết Thượng Nguyên” or “Tết Nguyên Tiêu”.
Over the past years, various activities would be put up to celebrate this auspicious day including sumptous feasting, culture shows, lion dance, dragon dance, lantern lighting and the highlight of the night - tangerines tossing.
Have you found a place to go with your friends to toss some tangerines (for the ladies)? For the guys, especially the single ones, this is the day you could go out there, fish out some tangerines and look at the contact number or email address then start contacting. You wouldn’t know right? You might find the one you were looking for through this tradition.For those that have yet to get all the ang paos from their family and friends, what are you waiting for? After today, no more ang paos will be given by those that are married!
