  • London transport museum....Summer holidays in London その２

    When I was living here, Londodn transport museum was closed for renovation. My son really wanted to go there. Boys love trains.  Finally we could see the museum.

    The museum is in Covent garden where I used to learn ballet when I was ....21? Ages ago! I love the place.My sister, who lives in London, joined us. (It is her in the pic, not me!)

    This is a picture of the entrance. I found it really strange because it was a metro map of Tokyo. Why Tokyo?? I found a metro map of Paris, Shanghai and London on the wall later.

    We took a lift. We thought it was a lift but it was a time machine. It took us back to 1800. There was a doubledecker chariot. Taiga wasn't really interested in it. He liked steamed engine a lot better.

    After the museum, we went back to the flat and had a rest. Then we went to central London again. We had dinner at Italian restaurant called Spaccanapoli. It is the best Italian restaurant in London. (My sister's bf told me. He is Italian.) They serve 1 meter pizza.

    I tried it once but we didn't have it this time. We had normal pizza and pasta. Yummy!! Taiga was really happy to see my sister's bf.  They have been friends for 2 and a half years. For me it is hard to understand what he is saying.  I notice my sister also speaks Italian english now.....

    there were old trains and buses. We could get in and took pictures. All the same! I couldn't see the difference between old ones and current ones.
    There were some train simulatotrs like 電車でGO!

    Wow 1 meter pizza! The pizza in the last pic looks authentic. The Transport Musuem seems quite interesting I must visit one day!
