About a week ago, there was a BIG traffic accident on Shutoko motorway in Tokyo.( near Ikebukuro) A lorry was slipped and hit the wall of the mortorway. The lorry was burnt down. It had 16 kilo liter gasoline,it was on the way to a gas station. Jeeez! The morotoway was melted about 40 meters long. It took over 3.5 hour s to put off. The building next to the mortorwat was also burnt. It was good that no one died.

Unfortunately I dirve to work throuth this route everyday. I was late for work today, because traffic was busy. The mortorway has been closed since the accident. I just heard it would take a few month to fix the road. I have to get up 1 hour earlier for a few months? That's crazy. Someone is stealing my time!

oh dear... so sad. =(

there's a fire in mongkok, HK RIGHT NOW... 2 firefighers have already been confirmed dead. =( they're still trying to stop the fire right now.

Noone died. But the driver of the truck got injured sreiously. I heard ihe had lumbar fracture.

That sucks what a pain in the neck. Glad no one died though, did anyone get hurt?

yeah, as peachey mentioned, something similar happened in Oakland California last year, the expressway section actually collapsed! (fell off!) but they were able to fix it quickly.

Awful. Something like that happened on a busy freeway here not long ago. Big truck (gasoline truck?) fell and burned and melted the freeway. Somehow, they managed to get that part re-built in record time. The contractor received incentive to finish before a certain date. Glad I don't have to commute near there. Huge headache for commuters.

Oh dear how fortunate that no one's killed in the accident. I hope not many ppls were injured too?! Must be tremendous amount of heat to get that motorway burnt & melted. Is there an alternative route that you can use to get to work??
