I'm going to tell you  a little bit about my job, for a change!

I don't know why many people get injuerd around my hospital lately. We have operation almost every day at my hospital. In case you don't know my job, I am a medical doctor. My parents are orthopaedic surgeons. I do surgery and anesthesia. We work together at my dad's private hospital. We've been really busy working.

One day I was concentrate on doing general anesthesia. And my dad did surgery. The patient had collar bone fracture. The operation was finished succesfully.( See the pic above  ) I tried to wake up the patient. I took the tube off and then the patient satrted speaking. "Hey Mio-chan! Thanks a lot!  You are sooooo beautiful, Mio-chan!"  ( Ususally we use "chan" for kids or female friends) Patients call me Dr. Shiraishi usually. I was a bit surprised.  " Wow! He knows my first name." He kept saying how lovely I was. I was embarrsed. I met him first time the day before. Do you think he fell in love with me at first sight? :P  I'm joking.

Because I injected strong painkiller, he was totally drunk. Even the patients are unconsciouss, I can tell they are feeling pain. Pain affects your heart rate and blood pressure a lot. That is the reason I inject strong painkiller. I guess "cutting skin" and "drilling bones" are quite painful.

Not every patient gets drunk by that painkiller , it depends.  Some people say something nasty, something embarrasing.  I'm a bit scared if I was a patient..

The collar bone fracture  patient  didn't remeber what he said next day!  He was just drunk. lol  Maybe I don't need to worry. I will forget everything like him.

Yes, I have similar experience when I have Amelie "out" by c-section.  I felt dizzy and confused, and I cried when I saw Amelie....yes, very likely to the feeling of getting drunk.

    う、私も膝の手術の時に全身麻酔から戻った時に弱冠錯乱していた記憶が・・・。
    アナフィラキシーショックの為に意識がなくなって、急遽半身から全身に変わったから余計だったんだろうけど。

Lol, I had to go under once and it just completely knocked me out.   Then, I woke up groggy and disoriented.  I was very quiet until I could get my bearings, lol...

Usually I wake up groggy and nauseated. I think I'd prefer the drunk feeling. heheh. Wait. Actually I prefer not to be in any situation where I require general anesthesia. =\

Those patients say the darnedest things. haha.
