11張圖片 / 3718次瀏覽 / 6個評論This project seeks new methods to reactivate the post-industrial site of the 19th Century Newport Railway Workshop in Melbourne. Declining industrial activity in the area has been replaced by suburban residential development. These adjacencies have given rise to unique and alternative uses of existing built infrastructure in the former industrial areas.
The proposed Newport Arts Centre is a site of interaction, accommodating different users and disciplines in an open conversation regarding the act of making in relation to a community identity.
