  That’s the Premiere of “社区民警故事” (Community Police Story) which I was invited to last week (January 10^th)…

   

  

   

  It was really great to meet with the crew again and I’m glad to see that everyone seemed to enjoy the film… I originally didn’t expect that much from the movie but I was very surprised, pleased and moved by it… It was a great moment!

   

  

   

  Hope you guys will enjoy it as much as I did!

• My first movie…

  Here’s a film I directed with some of my students. This project was originally supposed to be a theatre play but as we were also studying about cinema at the time, we decided to turn the play into a short film.

   

  We started by watching a short cartoon so the kids would understand the story and learn the dialogues (I know, they are really easy and cheesy but it’s for 4-year-old kids!). Then, we organized a casting and rehearsed for about 2 days… After that, we only had about 10 days (and only 45 minutes per day) to shoot all the scenes. I did the editing within 3 days (which explains part of the poor quality) and here’s the result:

  I know, it’s not much but we had a lot of fun during the making… What is great though, is that we organized a “premiere” at our school for all students and parents and then sold them the DVDs: all the profits went to the victims of Yushu’s earthquake. It feels great to help people while doing the thing you love… I’ll never forget this experience!

• Juggling isn't for me...

• I have some news!

  Hi everyone,

   

  I know, I haven’t updated my profile for a long time but I was too busy to even check my mails this summer… Nah nah, I wasn’t filming or anything… In fact I was mainly doing stage work (a theatre play and a big dance show…) but I’ll tell you about it later… This summer I had to take care of my parents who came to Beijing to see my new apartment and more (pictures will follow soon)…

   

  Anyways, here’s the most important thing I wanted to inform y’all about: I got married last month!!! Finally… After 6 years of being just a “boyfriend”, I’m now a husband (shit I feel older!)… So here are the pics of the ceremony and I’ll put more pictures (of the other stuff I’ve been doing) on AND soon…

   

  By the way, thanks to all the people who made it to the wedding! It was a memorable day!!! Now come check our new place when you have time guys (it’s in the East of Beijing).

• Demo Reel??? Not really…

  A couple of days ago a director called me for a future project and asked for my demo reel… I just did not have one… It sucks, I know… Anyways, I took the time I had (which was only two days) to make a short video and here’s the result.

   

  I know, it’s far from being good (actually I don’t like it at all) but once again, I only had a couple of hours to shoot the moves and the rest of the time to edit the video. I’m glad it’s done but next time I’ll be prepared: I’ll shoot a real Demo Reel and I’ll take my time to do the editing. I’ll start training again too because I hate seeing myself in such a bad shape… :(
