I would love to have you as my tour guide, Quist. I am sure you know about all sorts of wonderful places in HK that no tour book has ever heard of. I love to immerse myself in a new city and see how the ordinary people live, rather than concentrating only on the places that tourists visit. I am sure you could show me many such hidden places in HK. I do plan to visit HK, just not in the next few months (because of the financial crisis, I have to be careful with my money right now).
I'm the bizarro-world version of you, I guess, coz my gf is in HK. Cold in Istanbul you mean? This week had both, some lunch I spend sitting on the roof with only a tshirt but others it was nowhere near that comfortable. But then I'm Canadian so I might not be the best judge for 'cold'.
I'm off to Egypt for a couple of weeks so I don't end up biting people's head off in Istanbul (clients, mostly... and taxi drivers). Then another 2-3 months here. No idea about HK, nobody wants to hire me around there so it's a tricky situation, I want to move back there but I wonder if it's any use.
Same here, I tend to scare people a bit because if I'm not telling a joke or having a silly conversation, my neutral expression is, how should I say... 'looking pissed off'.
