had a bunch of weird dreams last night, woke up and reminded me a bit of inception. the thing i started wondering is .... (*spoilers* ahead)

is during the whole "heist" part (where they were trying to do the inception), why didn't they ever "bend physics"? the girl was clearly doing it in the first scene when she entered the dream world. i know that doing so attracts the subconscious people to attack you -- but they were already being attacked! so in that case, why not suddenly throw up walls or giant pits, etc to help protect yourself? seems like that would be the smart thing to do ... and on top of it it would have been really cool to watch!

I didn't sleep well for the whole week, so definitely haven't been dreaming for a while... But been waking up and thinking I am in a dream... haha ... side effects from watching "Inception"

"Inception" is definitely a high-minded masterpiece!

Nice running into you few days ago, sorry had to run and rush out of the supermarket... Actually I don't think I have ever got a chance to really chat with you... Next time :)

I thought the movie was setting up to show that he had killed his wife trying to get her out of the dream 'cause that was totally set up from the start.  When it didn't happen I thought it was missing that pay off.

And, yes, I think your point is very true and is a pet peve of mine with movies - when people's powers are not consistent.  (Same problem with nemesis in T2... he does things at the end which if he'd done at the start would have ended the movie much earlier!)

1) i think each level had to go into freefall in reverse order to allow the dreamers to wake up into the higher level.  so the 3rd level went to freefall before the 2nd level.

2) would you recognize the heads of your competitor's companies?  i wouldn't.  i have no clue what the head of sina, or yahoo hk, or wretch, etc look like.

3) i think since he was a fugitive.  he had to do the dream stealing stuff just to make a living since he couldn't get a normal job.  and if his kids were over they'd have to live a life on the run.

Why didn't the 3rd drea lose gravity as well if the 2nd dream was is freefall?
Why didn't Fisher reconized his competitor on the plane if they are both head of these big companies?
Why didn't Cobb's father in law just sent the kids over to France to see their father?
