Yet another side project of mine, although I'm taking this one quite seriously. I'm pleased to announce that dogapedia.org is now live. We are slowly adding dog breeds, but there will be regular posts and some interesting videos. Eventually I'd like to enable users to upload photos of their dogs to the breed pages and create user dog galleries there. It should be cool and I'm hoping to be done with all breeds by the end of February 2011.

I recently took part in a fashion show to help children get (and stay) fit in America. It's one of Michelle Obama's projects. We all had a great time and even had a few celebs in the crowd. I introduced them to the AMF drink. I had a group of about 20 friends cheering at me so it was super hard to keep a straight face. I think I did alright though with my Blue Steele. It's funny to do this for the first time at my age, but I'm glad I did and can now check that off of my "to do" list. Next! :)

Last Sunday I ran my first Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco. I tried for 4 years to get into this race as it's extremely difficult! Each finisher get's a Tiffany necklace as their medal and the course is beautiful.

I ran the half marathon and finished in 1 hour 29 minutes which put me in 15th place overall and 1st place for my age group. Not bad considering I'm only recently getting back into top running shape. Anyway I had a great time and I'm looking forward to my next race sometime in November in between my trips for work.

On my plate for business travel right now -
Scottsdale, AZ - summit at the Phoenician resort for 3 days next week, then Las Vegas for a week in early November. Straight from LV I fly to New York City to present at another conference and then spend a few days with my family there. Then back to SF to rest hopefully!

2010 SF Nike Women's Marathon

Jeez what isn't? 2010 has been an interesting year so far. I have a new position at the company which owns SFweekly, LAweekly, the Village Voice, and 11 other newspapers across the country. As usual I was hired to do Search Engine Optimization which quickly expanded into a pivotal role helping the company plan it's online expansion and add several new cities. I enjoy my job tremendously and have almost weekly meetings with the CEO, President, and the rest of the executive team of this $200,000,000 company. Talk about great experience. :) Some exciting things are on the horizon and I'll update this blog once they are solidified and announced publicly.

Besides that I've been running around 6 days a week which totals between 50 and 60 miles a week. I just ran my first race of the season last Sunday and finished 28th out of 2300 runners. It wasn't a great result for me as far as the time, but I had a cold so I'll take it ;) I have several more races coming up in the following months so I'm confident I'll improve. I posted some new photos from the past year. Crazy to be 38 and still out every weekend. I need a girlfriend haha.

Recently I've finally begun to let go of some things that have been clinging to my heart and mind. It's a difficult process, but one that I must do in order to become whole again. We can't exist with only half of our spirit in the world and the other half buried deep inside. It brings to mind one of my favorite quotes from my favorite book,
