  • Daylight Savings

    daylight savings started today...we put our clocks forward an hour so we get more daylight in the arvo now...i almost forgot last night when i went to bed...i had just finished watching Ghost in The Shell and i was about to sleep because it was 1/4 to 2...i just turned out the light and i looked at my clock as i always do before i sleep and i remembered...i hate daylight savings...i have too many clocks...i have about 8 or 9 in my room...one of the batteries in one of the clocks died so i didn't bother with it...i can't see the face on it anymore because it has dust in it...it still works when the battery does but i ll just leave it as a decoration on my desk...its a cool clock...

    it looks like this one but the base is black and it has no writing on it...and instead of a guy in a boat it has a green turtle and attached to it is a blue and white dolphin with a life buoy around it...the dolphin floats...in it there is water and some oily substance...the dolphin floats above the oil...like the boat does in this one...the turtle is on a magnet and it moves around the clock as the second hand...and its under the oil...but some how dust got into it and it floats around and you can't see the clock reflecting in the back...but i'll replace the battery and it can be a decoration...i ll take a photo of mine one day and post it...i love my clock...

    but the one i was looking at not only uses the sun it charges from normal household lights as well...not as much as the sun but it charges constantly...

    yeah. solar watches are nice but sometimes it stops or it goes slow...

    he he...i saw a nice watch that i wanted...it was about $300 or something...it was really nice and it worked on solar power...i would never have to replace a battery...i really would like it as a good watch for if i went out somewhere...it was a nice watch...*sigh*

    yeah thats true...do you guys have electronic blood pressure monitors there? you put the cuff on and press a button and it reads blood pressure automatically...they are so cool...at the blood bank where i donate blood they have them...you dont have to time it yourself...

    hehe... when I reached 2nd year college here, they require us to have a watch coz they said it's very vital for a nurse to have one because of the medications and counting vital signs,hehe... ;)

    i never used to wear a watch when i was at school because the class schedule was always the same except Wednesdays but every Wednesday was the same...the only time i took it was for exams...but when i was at TAFE doing Gram Stains of bacteria i needed a watch so i could time it...it was easier having my own than using the one at the front of the room because most of the time it never worked and i have just been wearing it ever since...i'd kinda be lost without it...because i dont always have my phone with me especially if i wear a skirt because they have no pockets...and that sucks...

    I always carry a wrist watch too whenever I go out of the house but I remove it when I'm at home. ;)

    yes i have 9 clocks...i set them but most are for decoration...i have a life buoy clock on my wall because of the nautical theme my room has that i told you about...its really cool...i have my phone too...and my watch so i always have two clocks with me wherever i go...if the battery stops in one i have the other...i never have to worry about my phone running out if im out somewhere because i always charge it...but its my watch that could run out any time...it did during an exam once...and i couldn't see the clock in the room...he he...it was embarrassing because i had to keep asking for the time so i knew how long i had left...

    So you do just the same like we do here in Germany ;)
    We just switched this weekend back from summer to wintertime, which means putting the clock one hour back...I just noticed it because I have an radio-controlled alarm clock ;P
