Amanda+Serena's story

I wish I could make this story as juicy and scandalous as Lindsay Lohan+ Sam Ronson's but it's nowhere near.

BUT and there's a big BUT. Hopefully, this story will show how funny life works and how you never know where it'll take you.

1998:   Serena had the time of her life studying Journalism/ PR in Brisbane Australia. OK, truth - I had the time of my life mostly cuz of the parties and the friends I made. One of these beautiful souls - Amanda from Ohio. Amanda ended up being my roommate. I remember we studied something similar but we never really discussed homework. Most of our intellectual exchanges revolved around the diff between Oz/ American/ Asian beer ;)

1999:   Amanda and Serena went their separate ways, thinking they'll possibly never see each
other again.

2000:   Serena goes to Ohio to interview the then relatively unknown N'Sync (don't ask me why
Ohio). She decides to call her old friend Amanda. Guess What?! Amanda's on radio too! Long story short, schedule didn't match, they didn't end up meeting. Serena couldn't believe the girl she shared a room with is doing EXACTLY what she's doing! AND started working on radio the same year she did! What are the odds?!

2008:   After almost 10 years, Serena finally found the opportunity to see her old friend who
now works for a station in San Diego

That's about it, definitely something to tell the kids (if/ when I have some).

Some of the parallels we shared:
1. Both of us switched stations after 7 years
2. Sting wore the same shirt when he met us @ diff times on diff continents!!!
